what is this cottony stuff on my plants?

Anacharis question. What is this cottony stuff on them?

Hi,
I have anacharis and the leaves appear to have white stringy stuff on them. The closest thing I can compare it to is cotton but its not thick at all. Its in small clumps in some places but its still about a milimeter in diameter. Any ideas?

I know exactly what you are talking about, I have been noticing the same thing on my anacharis. They are just thin roots, nothing to worry about.

I hope you are right but it's on every leaf on the plant. Do you still believe its tiny roots?

If you don't like them, just rip them off. Nothing to worry about when ripping them off because it won't hurt the plant at all.
