Well, my fish tank pretty much went through the fish equivalent of the plague. Almost all my fish were wiped out.

I found they had velvet so I treated them for that. The medicine keeps working for two months. I did this about two weeks ago.

When they kept dying and the spots didn't disappear, I figured out they also had ich. So I treated them for that about a week ago and no more have died.

They all looks okay now except for one of my mollies. She's still covered with white spots.

Why and what do I do? How long before I can replenish some of the fish?

I am NEVER bypassing the two week quarantine again!

Hi,

Well, this happened because of you serverely over stocked tank. What fish do you have left? You should wait about a month before you get any more fish just incase.

I'm sorry for your losses.

I know. It's not overstocked anymore.

I have the mollies that brought the sickness. Those feeder goldfish I need to find homes for. One glass catfish, two albino corys, and my upside down butterfly fish.

I just need to get tanks mates for that glass catfish and something to control algae.

I find it helpful to include water parameters when psoting about health issues.
include ammonia, nitrite, nitrate ,water temp water change schedule to start.
how long has the tank been set up?
what meds are you using?

sorry about our losses.
