just a quickie. one of my peppermint looks like it is carrying lots of yellowish brown tiny balls under the abdomen but they look they are stuck in her swimmerets, i'am guessing they are eggs. she has had them for one week now. Just like to know what she will end-up doing with them?

thanks...

Yeah your right they are eggs. If you have fish the eggs will most likely be eaten when released. if you have a refugium i would try putting the shrimp in there until she/he releases the eggs. thing about shrimp is they produce asexually, or so i have read. the eggs are an excellent source of food for your fish when the shrimp release them too. Since owning my shrimp they have always carried eggs. about 2 maybe 3 years now the shrimp just continue to produce them.

it's shame i dont have a refuge, because i would of put it in there to see if they hatch, but it is definitely a project for the future.

has anyone been successfull with breeding peppermints or any kind of marine shrimps.
