Just got my RO unit today. It is a 3 stage 50GPD RO MAN from the LFS, it does'nt have the DI filter but i will add one later down the road.

I have installed it all,(much easier then i thought it will be). but there seems to be a very low psi. I just wondering if anyone has experience this with there unit and is there anything i can do to increased it. I have checked all the pipes and fittings, and they are all fitted correctly and there is no leaks, i also have very good pressure coming out of the taps.

thanks guys...

PS :joke: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bday:

Hiya Yo...

Yes, i when i first installed mine, i had it on a tap connector while i waited for my pipe clamp to arrive..When i moved on to the clamp, i did not notice any change or difference..

The pressure you have coming through the RO unit is in main dependant on where it is situated...I.E how close to the inlet in to the house..I put mine right on the water inlet as it comes into my house..and i dont get far off the 50 GPD that it is rated at...I dont think i will ever get the full working values unless it goes direct onto a water supply..

Hope that helps

Niko

atnixon..........when you use RO as top off water, do you add anything to it, or do you just pour it in. Because i did'nt do top offs before the RO unit cause all i had was tap water, and I dont want to use that.
cheers mate.

i`ve also got a 3 stage 50GPD RO MAN with di & i also had a problem with low pressure until i realised that i had the unit in flush but soon as i put into ro mode my pressure doubled from 45 to 90 instantly you will know if its in flush cause your ro unit is making a noise so check the little tap on top of the unit just in case you done the same thing i did for the first 16hours lol.
