Thought this may be interesting to see who could actually remember what they were doing last New Years at midnight..

I was sitting at my PC chatting..:D . Appears Ill be doing the same thing this New Years, or sleeping as I have to work in the AM.

FAst asleep!

Bit different from when I was living in England; wouldn't leave the Local Pub (about 100 yards from my house) until 2-3 in the AM; then invite some of the neighbours in to continue the party.

Now too many drunks on the road....

I was at a party drunker than I've ever been before (and ever will be again, I downed 17 shots of Dickle whiskey over the course of 2 hours). I spent the New Year's countdown half-passed out on the couch "dancing" to Moby. The rest of the night alternated between porcelain God worship and watching a Law & Order marathon on television without being able to focus on the screen.

Moral of the story: There is something to be said for moderation.

This year was a small party playing board games. Good times.

Oh vey, last year's New Years Eve was harsh. There is something to be said about drinking heavily and only having half a hamburger in your stomach. Baaad scene...that was actually documented on photo! http://myspace-066.vo.llnwd.net/00593/66/01/593391066_l.jpg

This year was much better, drank with friends met a few new people, and crashed there.

Well, at least you're breaking the habit!

Last year I was doing nothing since I had no friends. This year we sat in my friends basement playing N-64 while all my mates chain smoked. Suffice to say we couldn't find any booze sadly...

Last year i was stuck on a family vacation- on a large ranch in the middle of no where texas with a bunch of old couples. Also spent half the night on the phone with my best friend who ended up in the ER.

BUT, Texas is beautiful and i cant complain getting to see the stars and milky way- something i see none of living downtown chicago.
