I picked up a female for my male ram. I needed to add a new bloodline to this bunch..the last batch of fry I got were rather disappointing.

As soon as I added her both of the male rams I had in this 29 colored right up and new just what to do. Up till today the two males had pretty much ignored each other...it wasn't long before they started pushing each other around. I removed the less appealing of the two and put him in the "batchelor" pad...a 20long planted with 2 other male rams in it.

She's a pretty little thing...I would have picked up another female, but the pickins were scarce...they were on sale for 2$ each...

I had her in quaranteen for a little while.....to allow her to adjust and get some good food in her. She's fattened up nicely and took to the new home rather well...showed some real interest in Romeo too....the feeling was obviously mutual.

It's nice to have a female ram again...it's been awhile since I lost the last one to some unknown ailment. Hopefully these two will produce a nice batch or two....all I have to do is figure out where to setup the growout tank ! :D

what type of camera/settings do you use to get that level of quality in your pics? anything i take ends up blurry/fuzzed

pretty girl, lucky boy!

Yeah, I would have purchased more if there was a better selection...all the best had already been taken..hence the 2$ price tag. But....I did see some quality in this one so I nabbed her. She's colored up rather nicely now and they are showing signs of producing......

Razzler....camera settings....hehe......I have a canon cybershot 5.1 and set it on the macro setting. I just fuss around with the appature and shutter speed settings until the pic in the viewer looks decent......

I like this camera....makes me look like I know what I'm doing ! :p:

how big do they have to be to breed?
