ammonia 1.0ppm
nitrates >5.0ppm
nitrites 0 to <0.25 ppm
put in a aqua clear ammonia absorber should i add an aquarium pharmaceuticals nitra-zorb
did water change
started wiyh bio spira dont think tank cycled
55 gallon
 
i think about a week ago added fish right after 5 cherry bards
4 danios
2 kissing gouramies
3 glass cats
and 3 cories yesterday
i still have to get the pleco out of the other tank
did a water change today 25% or so

dont add any more fish. do a bigger water change 50%. check your water every day and if you have ammonia or nitrites or high nitrates do more water changes. you might have to do two water changes a day.
 
but that is just thinning out the ammonia wont it come back again need more bacteria maybe
also i have to use bottled water tap water is full of iron and chloramine will a water conditioner work on that
 
should i put some fish back in the small tank

its going to take time for the good bacteria to build up and being able to take care of the ammonia. yes a water change will just thin out the water but ammonia and nitrites are bad for the fish. try looking into a reverse osmosis system.
 
do you think the ammonia absorb will help
