so do they?

No.

Unless you have a high dollar model, it will dispense food in inaccurate ammounts, and you will be overfeeding. It can break, and if you get used to having it you wont know your fish are not being fed. I've just heard too many accounts of different malfunctions to trust it. I have 6 tanks now and it's not too hard for me to toss in a few pinches every morning.

Ya dont invest in them, Even for when you go on vacations for less than a week. If your fish are healthy, you should be able to leave for at least 5 days before they start to get ... hungry. a 5 day vacation shouldnt be a problem. If your worried have a freind come and feed them once while your gone. Just be sure that they know how much to feed when they do.......

Not to mention the fish feeding at the surface and splashing water onto/into it = clumped food = clogged feeder = no good :(

yeah thanks i am taking a vacation so i will see if my brother can feed them
