raising ph, calcium and KH the cheap way

i want to know if there are any cheap alternatives to rasing raising ph, calcium and KH. i think that calcium carbonate can be used as a 'buffer; but i cant be sure.
does anyone know for sure what you can use as an alternative to over-priced fancy bottles or does anyone use there own?

I use Kalkwasser everyday. Very cheap and while not as good as a reactor, it works. Kind of a pain because I have it hanging above the tank in a 5gal Kent doser dripping into the sump. Just mix per directions, wait until it settles and dose.

My water changes are around 35% each month.

I also dose a small amount of ESV Bionic 2 part buffer system (half what they recommend. Just checked today and my PH is at 8.3, Alk 7.8 dkh and Calcium 460.
