I need some kind of small aglea eater in my tank with tetras? Would fish would be a good idea that will eat algea?

what size is the tank? anything smaller than a 10 gallon should either have a snail or you should just scrape the algea yourself.

how long has it been set up?

is it near any sunlight (i.e. partially exposed, not exposed, or fully exposed to sunlight), as this plays a factor in algea growth.

what type of tetras are they and how amny are there?

29G bowfront with 9 neon tetras, 7 black neon tetras, 2 keyholes, 4 corys. Everything is good in the tank. No sunlight hitting it but I would like a fish that will keep my tank clean.

Otos are great i you can keep them. I just picked up 6 at Petsmart. Pretty small, must be juveniles. No losses yet. Hope for the best. If they make it through QT, I have a brown algae smorgasbord waiting for them in my main tank. For now, it's veggie rounds and zucchini slices.
