Im new to the hobby, but have quickly learned the importance of a QT, but I have a few questions. I have a 10g freshwater tank that I will turn into my marine QT, after I transfer my livestock, etc. My 40g marine tank is almost finished with the cycle. Should I take some water, LS, and LR out of the 40g and put it in the QT once the cycle is complete or do I leave the QT with only water? Is the hanging filter that is on the future QT enough? Thanks in advance for any help! :)

you can take out lr and water when you do a water change. however, make sure that if you dose any medications to put the lr back into your display tank. isntead, you can put some pieces of large PVC in there for the fish to hide in
and that filter is fine. jsut run some carbon and keep the flow going. you might want to add a realativly small powerhead also
