Nice natives teleost! You catch those yourself?
I only personally collected the H. formosa. friends of mine collected and sent me the others.
Most of these fish are coastal and or located in the deep south. I only get so much time down there.

Nice fish! Have you ever kept any F. chrysotus? They are pretty variable, but some are pretty:

There are a bunch of other pretty Florida fundulus as well:

I might get out this spring to get some Ohio F. notatus and lineolatus. Not as pretty, but cool fish.

I always have F. chrysotus around.
I'm a big fan of North American fundulus I have or had:
Fundulus catenatus
F. chryostus
F. dispar
F. heteroclitus
F. lineolatus
F. notatus
F. nottii
F. olivaceus
I'm expecting a shipment of confluentus shortly and I'm excited.
coupedefleur, are you a NANFA member? If not, you should consider joining.
Ghost_knife, I use a Canon A520. It's a simple yet cheap camera.

When I've got the dough handy, I should. Todd, who works on the NANFA website is who I might go out collecting with.

I thought you might now Todd. One of my buddies has sampled with him a couple of times recently. I've never met Todd in person but I'm sure I'll meet him this year. If you ever get a chance to get in the water with him, don't hesitate.

Thanks for all of the kind comments.
Frecklebelly darters are really cool. Unlike other darters, Frecklebelly darters swim in mid water most of the time. They even swim with minnows many times instead of other darters. They recognize people as a food source pretty fast and eat frozen food easily.
