For weekly water changes involving less than 20%, can I just add water that is aged for a day without conditioner? I've heard that there is no harm to fish and in fact some studies have shown that small amounts of chlorine and chloramine were shown to be beneficial.

you can do what ever you feel safe with i have heard mixed reviews about aged water. i personally think its cheaper to buy a quality dechlorinator than it is to be replacing fish. i do know that aging water is not going to rid your water of chloramine. as for chlorine and chloramine being beneficial to your fish i have never heard that but then again i am no expert. i just know that i have always used a good quality dechlor like prime and i have never seen any illeffects to any of my fish.

lol thnx. I can read this for myself, so no more replies are necessary. After reading this, I don't want to be in Jay's shoes myself.

P.S. Not that I think he's necessarily wrong but I don't feel like it's something I want to argue over.

Water conditioners are cheap, why take a risk?
