sort of a wierd question but...

i just bought a new angel fish for my tank, gorgeous fella. He was swimming around within a few minutes of being in the tank and barely lost any color on the trip over.

BUT!..in the store he had red in his eyes and he doesnt seem to anymore. Can anyone tell me why?? is it something to do with my lighting?? i just have standard lights...

any suggestions would be appreciated :)

I don't know why they loose the color. try adding a little more protein to its diet. when I fed mine a medicated parasite food for a couple of days mine lost his. that food had something good in it cause all his body irredescence was brighter. I feed my angel some betta min flakes along with the regular variety flake and he has good color... if i see him before he wakes up the color is missing though

high protein helps fins to grow
a food with vitamins added helps color and shine
they will eat some veggie-mine likes the algea wafers and eggeria tips.....the bugger:rolleyes:

get a good variety flake. some are tastier(to the fish) than others.
if you get a large container of food keep a little one to feed out of. the older the food is and the more you open the top the faster the food degrades.

So feed a good variety and garnishes of the other foods and you should have a prettyer fish
