I have a 20G tank with the following:

Male Betta
Common Plecos (Will figure out what to do with him as he grows)
Inca Snail
African Dwarf Frog
2 Octocinclus Cats
3 White Clouds (Golden)
4 Scissor Tail Rasboro
Soon 5 Red Cherry Shrimp

3 live plants

I do 20% water changes weekly.

How often and how aggressive should I vacuum the gravel?:help:

Also, I have a Penguin 100 Bio-Wheel filter. Is that sufficient? I am trying to keep the current low for the Betta (My daughter favorite and it is her tank)

I gravel vac whenever I do a water change.

Nice set up man, water changes are good, although I only do mine once every month in my 20 gal, works out good water conditions are all good, your penguin 100 is a good filter does 100 gph which means your tank is being completly filtered more than 4 times over an hour. gravel cleaning I do that with the water change once a month and its keeps the gravel nice and clean, plus the cats in your tank will do a really good job of cleaning up all the left overs from feeding time which will keep your gravel extra clean, so good stuff enjoy.

i use my vac to do water changes, i marked my tank, so i vac till it gets to that level, it keeps my tank spotless, cause im doing it every week.

I vac the gravel every water change (normally every Sunday) and remove roughly 40-50%.

Surprising the amount of poop and other "stuff" you suck up!
