I just purchased a 25 gallon top fin glass tank with stand. It is taller than it is wide. I also got a penguin 150 bio-wheel filter and a top fin 150 watt heater. I paid $188 for all. Was this a good deal? Also I have no idea what to stock after cycling. Any suggestions? I'd like some bigger fish, because I have smaller varieties in my 10 gallon. Thanks!

Was this a new purchase? Taller than wide, is that really what you want?
Seems that longer than tall would be more fish friendly as they tend to swim back and forth more than up and down. You'd be able to stock a better selection of fish too.

a tall tank is perfect for angelfish, my suggestion is:
1 angel
6-8 rummynose tetras
4-6 panda corys
1 angel
6-8 rummynose tetras
4-6 panda corys
to me it doesnt sound like a good deal. each area is different though. what cyborob said was right about longer tanks being better then taller tanks.
