I have an anubia with a very long rhyzome and three sets of leaves, all about 1/2 to 1 inch away from each other. So I was wondering how I can cut(?) these so they form different plants. The bit that I want to seperate has fairly small leaves, will this make a difference?

with mine i just waited to til i had a good number leaves(12) and roots on eace side of my cuttings. i used a sharp razor blade(i heard using scissors can cause bruising) and cut down the middle of the rhizome, makin sure tht each side has roots. leaves are somewht important but the main thing is roots. u can cut the small leaves if u want in hopes to promote growth

I simply snap the rhizome in two...been working fine for me for years.

I would use the sharp razor blade suggestion. Anubia is an easy plant, but does have a tendency towards rhizome rot if it's bruised.
As long as you have a few leaves on either side of the cut it should be fine for dividing.
Then attach to wood or rock or you can weigh it down to the substrate and let the roots grow into it if you'd like that affect. Once it's rooted the weight can be removed.
