The chances of a successful breeding are good. (though there can be variables which could prevent them from spawning, so there are no absolute gurantees).
The chances are also good that the male may behave overly aggressive with just a single female. Socolofi, like other mbuna, are harem-breeders and do best with 1 male per several females (multiple females can reduce the amount of aggression each female may receive from persistant males).
