:help: I recently set up a 25 gallon aquarium and I'm wondering if I can use water that is purified by a Whirlpool water filter system in it. It's not a water softener. I've read where one shouldn't use bottled water to fill an aquarium. Is this water similar to bottled or should it be ok to use? I'm not filling it until I'm absolutely sure it's safe. Thanks

What does testing tell you? Any readings? Typically, all would be zero in this case. However, as the filter ages, you might find a bit of chlorine sneaking in. Always test the water. That is your best guide. If you have plants, you might want to rethink using filtered water or you will have to add nutrients to make up for the missing minerals, etc.
