Can I add a Betta

Just after some advice I have a fully cycled 8 gallon hex tank. I would like to know if I could add a betta there is 5 small cherry barbs and 1 balloon mollie.

Your pretty stocked as it is.

I wouldent add anymore fish in there.
 
the cherry barbs are about all your tank can handle.
 
IMO. 5 barbs is a lot for a 8gallon. They need some roon to chase each other.

But thats just me. Maybe someone has a differning opinion.
