I have two bolivians in my 29 gallon in the hopes of them pairing up. Unfortunatly I think they're the same gender as there are a lot of fights, with the weaker one getting dark (stress I assume). I guess I'll have to get it out of there, so here is the real question, how long until he outgrows a 10g? He's just a juvie at only an inch and a bit. Also would he be able to be in any of the following tanks until I find a better home for him?

Possible tanks...
10g with 2 female bettas, D.Gourami
10g with placid male betta and 3 cherry barbs

Will any of these work for a while? I should move him out of the 29 right?

you should move hime from the 29 if he is getting harassed, and then you should go and get a female or two for the remaining ram.

if hes only an inc, he should be ok for a while in a 10 gallon. i dont really think that either one of those set ups would work. you could try both, but i think that the fmelat bettas would be more likely to pick at the ram than the male.

I cant wait to get my rams for my 55g.

I dont mean to hijack your thread or anything. But i didnt want to start a new thread for just this one question. And considering it ahs to to with rams. I hope you wont mind.

Does anyone know a website that will garentee sexes when you buy fish from them? Someone told me oddballfish.com would but i didnt see the option anywhere.

Thanks!

Aussie. If this is a problem i can get rid of my commment :dance2:

Go to Aqua bid and check out pairs of rams.

Aussie Hippie - are you sure you can't get back up here? Some of the rams are laying eggs now and I might be able to get you a female.

Also, move the male out and put him in either tank. If there is a problem, just move him. Chances are he'll hang at the bottom and no body will bother him at all. Sorry to hear you are having problems....
