Hello, I just took over a tank from an old roomie that is 75gallons and stocked with two 3-4 inch Bala Sharks, an albino red oscar 1.5in max and a green severum about the same size as the oscar... I know this willnot house them for life but just wondering how long the four of them may stay in there?...

Cheers

Sorry, just realized I put this in the cichlid forum.. My apologies

oscars and severum are cichlids, so this is the right place :)

unfortunatley, all four of them will not be able to live together for life. the oscar coud BY HIMSELF, and the severum could with some takemates. the balas could not no matter what. they are very active and get to 14" and are very active, plus they like to be in groups.

they should all be full grown in a year or two. best return all but the oscar or the severum now IMO.

Thanks, I can place the Oscar and the Bala Sharks with a friend who has a 6xx3x2 custom... I inherited this tank as my roomie has gone home to Ireland and could not take the tank... My fortune I guess:)

What Should be suitable tank mates for the Severum?...

My other tank is a 55g with 4 convict cichlids..

Cheers
