Well. my sunburst platty that is pregnat is starting to get closer to giving birth. The gravid spot is getting more and more noticable.

So here are a few questions.

1) Should i feed them right after there born?
2) What do i feed them?
3) AT what point do i take them out the breeder box and put them in the 10G i have ready for them?
4) Anything else i should know?

Thanks a bunch!

1. wait till yoke sack is gone
2 finely ground flake food
3 when they are .5 inch
5. keep us posted :)

Thanks for the fast reply!

It seems to me that the male and female have paired with each other. She is in the box and he keeps right beside her all the time. And she is frantic when he is there. Like she wants to get out and be with him.

Is it possible they actually formed a pair?

ANd do fish ahve the common since that once they fry are big enough to be put back in the 55g with the parents. Do they know "Hey, thats my kids"?

Just an aside, I have a pair of dwarf plattie as well and they have become a pair and bred. Unfortunately, the first time they bred, I didn't knkow what to do, so my female bettas had a nice dinner that night. lol...
