hi
just 2 days ago the fry started to swim freely and they are really cute lol i read that i can feed them egg yolk...disolved in water is this true.......?:help:....:D

I dont really know the answer to your question.

But could you chnage your text color to just regular black. That color Is really hard on the eyes.

yes you can use egg yolk. here's what i do ... place a little yolk in some tank water in a glass. suck it up in a turkey baster. squeeze it out into the glass. repeat a few times to fully disperse the yolk. then suck it up in the baster one more time and squeeze it into the tank right over the fry. i change the water 3X week to insure that it's clean, since the yolk (or any fry food) is kinda messy and fry are VERY sensitive to water which is not clean.

With convict fry I would just use "fry bites" or finely crushed flake. Convicts fry have to be the toughest I've ever seen. It's the only cichlid I've see raise it's young to sellable size in a LFS tank full of oscars and Assorted CA cichlids. No suplimental feeding, constant rearrangemnt of the tank. Still had a good many survive.

i have been giving them crushed flak food and i will try to give them some egg yolk once n a while so the tank doesn't get too dirty :D
