severums are a great choice, they are easy to care for, very hardy, and not picky about food, i've never had any negative experiences with them, so i can't share any

they do get quite big though, 8 inches plus, a 55g is recomended for a pair

I am cycling a tank right now-please no flaming, i am doing a fishy cycle. ANyhoo. I found a incredible red shoulder that I wanted since I was going to stock with Sevs anyway. he is in tank now. Doing well as I am making sure parameters are okay. Very nice fish, all I have read and seen i decided on this species.!!!!!!! Good luck. WHat color is your pair, the ones u r wanting?/

I completely agree with KOTD. I LOVE my severum, and would love to have a whole tank of them!!! Although then Johnny wouldn't be as special. . . gets along with my emerald corys, black ghost knife, and baby parrots. I highly recommend--lovely, move gracefully, great personality, easy to keep as long as you keep water in great condition (well, that goes for all fish), etc etc etc.:)

i am looking at a pair of golds, from what i am hearing so far it looks like a go! i have a 90 gallon tank with two earth eaters 4 bucktoothed tetras and 4 silver dollars. The tetras and dollars are around 2 inches and the eaters are around 5 inches. will this still work, i'm getting real excited about this!!!
