Hello

I used to feed frozen foods to my fish along time ago. My question - how much do I feed them (whatever they will eat in a few minutes, clean out any uneaten food))and do I thaw out the food completely. Do I just dump the mess in the tank? The bloodworms do look nasty. I was going to buy the stuff, <hatchery> to have live brine on hand.... Do you all even reccommend that? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

I keep a shot glass on the fish tank, I put tank water in it, then drop the frozen cube in it so it can dissolve. I use a turkey baster to get the food where it needs to go (I have several hogs that would eat it all). Brine Shrimp is a great desert, but not a staple food. I feed it a couple of times a week or so. Frozen foods must stay frozen until used. Don't buy from lfs if it looks like it has thawed and been refrozen at all !! They can make fish sick and even die from it. I give them what they can eat in 3 min., then put the rest in the frig. (still in water from tank in shot glass) and give to them the following day. I use live brine for the babies only. Live Brine is only healthy for them within 36 hours of hatching and they are too small (I think) to large fish. Soak your frozen food in vitamins and garlic to get a great boost to your fish diet.
