Well my ADF died AND one of my bettas :(
The betta died because of the cat was drinking the water.. and by the end of the day......
i never knew she was drinking it! I just found my betta in about 2 table spoons of water!
well.. im planing on getting 2 more bettas, a blue and a red (the red one died)

and i dont want really want another frog... neither does my mom! LOL

Your cat drank 10 gallons of water?!

Oh..I'm really sorry :( I know what your feeling. I have lost bettas as well before. And an ADF. I am not aloud to get frogs anymore, anyway so I dont have to worry about it anymore. Why doesnt your mom want another ADF? My mom and dad are "done with frogs' they say because so many have got loose in our house and dried up...
Silly cat...thats why I keep mine up high. My cat keeps one close eye on the fish and she is so big she can put her front paws on the shelf to look at them. Shes never really harmed them though. She loves to watch them. Does the cat have a bowl of water? Maybe that would help. Getting tops for the tanks of your two new bettas would help too. Bettas loves to jump and cats love the drink.
And another thing I want to know is..how in the world can your cat drink 10 gallons of fish water?

LOL  no!!! LOL it was in a bowl...LOL... id like to see my cat drink 10g of water! LOL:eek:  :)

I don't understand. You had the betta in a regular bowl of water that the cat could drink out of? And the cat drank around the betta? The cat drank all of the water and left the fish lying there?

daayda, your story doesn't make sense. cat's cannot drink that much water in one sitting, and bettas can live for quite some time in little to no water. your betta would have to be high and dry for several hours to die. in 2 tablespoons of water, it might have taken it 2 days to die.

some betta bowls are pritty small, maybe the cat killed it?
