I have had the same three kuhli loaches for about 6 months, my water paramters haven't change neither has tank temp, or amount of light ect, my problem is that one of the three loaches has lost all color, and seems to be "attacking everyone else in the tank?..The only thing I have done diffrent Is that I fed them raw shrimp yesterday, none of the other inhabitants are showing any signs of stress, or color loss?..any suggestions?

it's probably stressed and the color loss may because of it scratching itself on the substrate

Any thing you recomend doing?..

do a big W/c, that may help

They are in a thirty gallon, and each is less than 2 inches long, I do regular water changes, there are only the three loaches and 4 other inhabitants in the whole tank, the other fish being 1 sae, and 3 cichlids, these guys have all been together since the loaches were dropped off at my house, they are extremley active, out all the time, day , night, light on /off, The loach has actually regained his color, And has gone about his way, there were no major fluctuations in water params, and I am not really sure what happened, I just didn't want to loose him.! ..thanks for all your help!

I was kinda thinking the same thing, once I realized that his color started returning, I don't know a whole lot about them, they were a drop off, as so many of my fish tend to be anymore, I got to the point where I sold my larger tanks because everyone who had a fish they didn't want brought them here, wich led to setting up another tank do to , health, species, or whatever, I didn't really want them in the cichlid tank, and was unsure about the water spec for them, but I did some research, and they were close enough, that I tried it, all has been going great, except for this one incedent, so I was A little concerned that maybe things weren't going so swimmingly..lol but I am hoping it was the shrimp. I intend in feeding them some tonight, so we shall see what happens! ..thanks again!
