My name is Jon. I've been an avid aquarist for over 10 years now, starting out in childhood at age 5 with a couple of feeder goldfish that soon outgrew their bowl and lived to a ripe age of 12 and 14 in a 30 gallon tank! Ive raised everything from wild pond fish (ie. bluegill, bass, and channel catfish) to freshwater invertebrates, to a variety of cichlids,(with my favorite fish of all time being the 1.5" baby oscar i managed to grow to a whopping 11 inches in my 75 gallon tank in less than 2 years!) needless to say, ive moved into a new apartment and am starting over with my 30 gallon tank (the 75 will stay in storage for now) and i'm looking for something new to put in it. i'm curing a nice piece of driftwood i found at the beach, and ive started the (more and more tedious each time it seems) process of cycling my tank.

What i'm looking for is something semi-agressive (but not something that is going to evict my sword plants :mad2:), preferably something that eats live food (i really enjoy live feedings), colorful, and obviously cannot grow too large in a 30 gallon tank. i'd rather keep fish that stay small, instead of growing them up, getting rid of them, and getting more. any suggestions?
