what if any are good tank mates for a dwarf puffer?
 
Best kept a single species tank
 
I've read that they usually get along fine with otos.
 
otos are the only ones, really. shrimp are usually safe, but once they find out they are tasty it's bye-bye shrimps.
 
Once the aquarium is more established I might get some otos then, and a few ghost shrimp to help tidy the bottom, before they get eaten :)
 
like noted before, do best in species only tank, they tend to be vicious to other fish.
 
at this point the only reason for tank mates it to help keep the plants clean, and the excess food eaten. although more plants would be good :)
