Tank is 7 months old, redone 3 or 4 times, and has settled in to look like this.

I am pretty happy but not really satisfied with it, my first aquarium.
Looking forward to doing a bigger one someday.

What do you use for such beautiful plants? I am trying plants in a 55 now and would love some tips!

Thanks
It is 65% eco-complete and 35% gravel
I'll be using 100% eco-complete next time.

Eco-complete substrate, pressurized C02, EI fertilizer dosing, and lots of reading of the forums.

That tank looks GREAT!

What ideas do you have for your future tank? Are you going to keep this one too, or move all of your stuff when you get a new one?

Thanks, that is Pearl grass.

I have to trim it once every week or two and it makes a mess. I just turn the filters off and then use a fish net to scoop out the hundreds of pieces floating around.

Thank you, the plan at this stage is to move everything out of this tank to a 65 gallon.
I have not thought about the layout much yet, this will not happen till next summer at best.

My Green Spotted Puffer is going to inherit this tank from his 20 gallon long he is in now. Not sure what I will be doing with the 20 after that.

So the 36 gallon is going to end up being a full SW tank.
