I am looking into setting up my first SW tank. Due to space issues in my place, I need to get a coner tank. I found a 44g pent that is a good price and would work great. My concern is the depth. Is this tank going to be too deep and cause me headaches as far surface area and oxygenation for the fish.
What does everyone think? Any other issues to be concerned about in this tank.

as long as you move the water around it will be ok... SW tanks need to be turned of i belive 30 time the hour?.. so how do you plan to run it.. you can give me al your specs and ill help you with that :]

the only concern with deep tanks is he lighting... if you plan on corals you might have to get some intense lighting to go all the way down to the base

I would suggest MH halides for a tank that deep with T5 actinic suppliments..

Just ensure you have enough power heads in the tank, maybe have one higher up in the tank to ensure you get some surface agitation...

Just let us know what the depth of the tank is for now..

Thanks. I don't have the exact specs right now, but will get them. I really just needed the answer on whether or not I could do it. I knew heave lighting and powerheads would be needed if it was feasible. I know cut and dry rules are never available in this hobby. But what is a good turnover rate to shoot for.....30x? More or less?

Thanks
