I am going to be moving in a few weeks and will need to move my fish when I go. I have a cycled tank all set up at home ready for them. My question is what is the best way to move them. I will be taking a plane (about a 40 minute flight), and will probably need to take apart my tanks 1-2 days in advance. Has anyone had any experience with this?
The fish I have are two blue rainbows, a german blue ram and a few neons, and a betta (this tank I will be taking with me and set up at home)

Well, if you arent emotionally attached, youd be far better off selling the fish to a LFS and buying new fish after you move...
Moving fish tanks is alot of hassle, I have enough trouble when I attempt it alone, I couldnt imagine doing it with the stress of moving everything else.
i don't know if the airline will let you bring your fish on board and i wouldn't trust baggage, but if you have a tank already set up there (as your second sentence says) you could ship them there overnight. it would cost enough to do this and its not a sure bet, but if your fond of them it may be worth it.

keep and air pump and a seeded sponge filter and a titanium heater (wont break in your bag when you move.
Buy a big plastic container to keep the fish in there till moving day.
Do not feed the day prior to leaving.
Make sure to bag big fish seperately.
make sure mostly air and not to much water.
You can try bag buddies as well
