I'm thinking of converting my 5 gallon into a planted aquarium once i've moved the fish in it. I'm going to be putting a betta in it once I have converted the tank as well.

My question is what are some good plants that will do fine in a 5 gallon and will stay alive with minimum care and will only take a low amount of light to stay healthy? as this is my first planted tank I don't think I will do ok with many harder types.

I'm thinking of having a small piece of driftwood or bogwood in the tank and having a layer of java moss covering the gravel but thats as much as I've got so far.

Thanks for any replies.

I would suggest just sticking with a Java Fern. They accept low light conditions and are fairly hardy plants.

Anubias is another good low light, I had good results with Ludwigia in my low light tanks to.
