Yes, i'm 28 years old, i love music that isn't mainstream, and I'm one of those people who "shouldn't " like American idol, but the fact is, it's entertaining, and always makes me laugh . . . :)

So anyone catch any of the episodes this season?

My comments: It's still funny, but now they're focussing a little too much on the people that suck, rather than displaying the true talents on the show. . .

What do you guys think so far?

ok, this is the third time I'm typing this out!

I am totally hooked on this show and can't decide which is better, when they finally get down to the 24 or the try-outs. Yes, I am a closet Idol fan.

Comment on Cheech's comment: I noticed that too this year and it's been quite different in that way, here's what I came to think though. Out of all the people they did audition, only a small handful of people made it to Hollywood so could you just imagine the hords of people that think they were phenomenal that we didn't see?

Note: I knew Taylor was going to take it from the minute he had his audition ;)

rofl I'm so glad I didn't have to post this myself. lol I'm 33, and also someone who "shouldn't" watch it. But it's like a train wreck, I just can't turn away!

I don't know what I'm going to do this year; I have soccer on Tues nights. We have a tournament game next week at 8:15! My daughter will have to watch it and fill me in, but there's no way my husband will. He listens sometimes from the other room, but would never admit it!!

I agree, they should show more of the talented auditions but last year was the same wasn't it? In fact I think last year they had more stupid costumes and stuff. I can't comment about prior years; I had never seen it until my daughter came home from school and made me watch the auditions. Of course then I got hooked. I don't watch any other television. I had to go buy an antenna just to watch the rest of the season. lol

So far I like the long frizzy haired girl from Minneapolis, the two kids whose dad is a classical musician from India, and the guy with the Afro.

Well the auditions annoy me, because the contestants go through 3 or 4 'screening' auditions before they ever get to see Randy, Paula and Simon. Don't tell me these other people listening to the contestants are tone deaf and blind! lol It's all a set up and all for ratings.

Hi,

I like to watch every episode! But Vote For The Worst is not good:mad: But it does give me some laughs about what they say about the contestants!
