I was cleaning out my tank the other day and found a tiny lickle baby platie aaawww. I presume his brothers and sisters must have been tasty as he seems to be the last sole survivor and therefore named Nemo. (and he's orange!) As soon as I found him I put him in a breeder net to make sure he didn't meet the same fate.

Just wondering, as he's my first grandfish, how long will he take to grow? Also how soon can mum become become pregnant again as I suspect she may already be? I must add I do have 4 females and 2 males, but there was one I thought may be pregnant before christmas, so I'm presuming she is the mum, and she's looking a little on the large side again.

I had a bunch of platys fry hiding in the gravel, so you might find more. They hide very well.

I have 7 in a small tank and they're eating crushed flake, but haven't grown very much and its been 3 weeks.

They will become "mature" adults in 6 months, just keep feeding him some brine shrip or finley crushed flake food, and he will do just fine. he'll get to be about a half inch long once he's an "mature"
