Thanks for taking a look at my collection and your compliments; these are my pride and joy.

Nice fish.

Wow! Got any pics you can share? Is that a juvie endli. endli. in your avatar?

Yes it is, but I'm in the middle of a move right now, so I gave away a lot of my aquariums to my friends, and I gave the ropefish to one of them. I have oscars in my poly tank, and I didn't want the lil guy to get eaten.

what are the specs?

The tank is 180g (6x2x2), only 2 AC110's right now, but I'm working on getting an XP3 or 4 or an Eheim 2028 soon, and eventually a second one. Since all of them are under the 12" range, the filtration I have still holds up fine, but I'm fully aware I will need much much more filtration before these lil guys get full grown.

I do weekly 75% water changes, nitrates (last time I checked before WC) were at 10-15, PH is 7.8 (even with driftwood, our water is just stable like that).

Their staple diet is a floating pellet (it makes them swim around the top of the tank to feed which is cool to watch). Once a week they get minnows, shrimp, and guppies, and I've recently started to feed dwarf frogs but at $6 for 4, it aint a weekly thing until I find them wholesale somewhere lol

I recognize your handle from MFK, what's in your collection?

Hey I know the feeling, once upon a time a 55g was my largest tank. Hopefully you'll have the room someday so your inner bichirfanatic can come out.

A few poor ones. I am getting a bit better at photography, so I will take a few more and find somewhere to host them, then post some links.

Is that a juvie endli. endli. in your avatar?

Well, those are some very hefty collections, well done! I'll deff be waiting on those pics toirtis, and BTW, save some poly's for the other folks in your town heh j/k

StreetCypher, you're right, I've seen your posts around these boards waaay before I signed up on MFK, I didn't know you had such a great collection of poly's though.

I wish that I could say no...I was in a shop a couple of days ago, and limited myself to a single weeksi, even though there were two more as well as several palmas polli I would have liked to take (nevermind the tank full of $30 baby ornates), but cash, and more significantly, space, do have their limits.

They are really cool looking. How big do they get and how big of a tank are they in? They kind of look like ancient water lizards..lol. Where did you get them?

They vary in adult size by species... My lap will grow the largest, maxing out at 30"; the ornate will reach around 24", the Del about 14" or so, and the senegals around 12".

I got them at different LFS's that I visit... The senegalus and ornate came from the store closest to me in the SGV that I get food from, the lap came from a different store in the SGV, and the Del came from a store in Long Beach run by a guy named Steve.

They do kind of look like lizards... my former roomates had some friends over once, and their friend thought I had an electric eel (the reedfish) lol.
