I have a mature 90G tank that did have some SA cichlids in it but they got to big. So now it's fishless and I wish to start up a community tank. The question is how many tetras can I have? This is my idea;

-2 or 3 rams, not sure what kind yet

2 keyholes, or maybe some flag cichlids

12 corys, not sure what kind yet

and maybe like 25 to 30 tetras, like cardinals, black phontoms, neons, zebra danios

4 or 5 ottos for aglea

This tank will have 3 large pieces of driftwood in it as well as it being very well planted with live plants. So what do you think? Any suggestion on what I should do would be very helpful because I really what some feedback on this. Like of there's something that you recomand or something I should do different in this stocking? Thank you

Zebra danios aren't tetras, they're a minnow and will HEAVILY outcompete your other fish for food if you have that many. You also might end up overstocked since they produce lots of waste (partially because they steal everyone elses food) and get about 2 inches.

My favorite would be neons, they're a bit smaller and cleaner. If you go with 25 or more though you're going to end up overstocked, no matter which you choose. I wouldn't go with more than 10-15

I'd cut the number of corys down to 10.

With the ottos, I'm not sure how much algae they really eat. They prefer the brown stuff, which I think might actually be diatoms or something. If you want an algae eater get a couple bristlenose plecos, they're 4-6 inches and mow through actual algae. My 1" ate the hair algae (there was a lot of it) in my 10 gallon in only a few days.
