my co-worker is willing to give me his 30g with two filters (i dunno what type) and a hood/light
the only problem is it comes with two 6" tiger oscars

would you take it, i might find a home for the 2 oscar but im not %100

I'd take it and return the oscars to the fish store.

Even if you had to give the Oscars to the LFS, it would be worth it for the tank. Chances are the LFS would be willing to give you store credit to buy more fish though.

He'll give you a 30g? Take it, and try to sell the Oscars...there is a market for 6" long Oscars that outstrips what you would expect!

I agree 100%. Take the tank and trade the Oscars back to the LFS or try and sell them. I just traded a 5" leporinus to my LFS and he gave me at least $30 worth of fish. Go for it, the 30g is worth it!

I would do it. Summer is coming and even if you cant find a place for the oscars right away, you could keep them outside in a tub or something untill you can unload them.

this sorta thing happened to my dad when i was little. he bought a tank from his friend that was a complete 40gal tank with heater filter everything with a huge oscar and dempsey. that cost him 50bucks, but then he turned around and sold the two fish for a combined 65 bucks. it pissed the guy he bought the tank from off
