Ok thanks for all the help everyone in my last couple of posts. I just bought tha python gravel cleaner / water changing tool. Heres the Q. is it safe to fill the tank rite from the kitchen sink? I did my first water change and still filled up 2 5gal buckets and added my conditioner to that. or should i just use the python and and the conditioner to the tank?

I pull water directly from faucet through the python into my tank. I just add the declor product into the water. A big prior and then the rest during the fill.

so insted of treating just the ten gallons of water i changed treat all 50gals?

yes, treat for the volume of the tank.

some of the chems are locked up with other 'things' in the tank water so the recomendation is to treat the entire volume of the tank.

you'd probably be fine treating the 10, but it's a good precaution to treat all the water...

Thank you i treated the first ten in the buckets and then the last 40 after i read this thanks for all of your help.
