I got 2 new fish for my tank but cant remember there names, but will shall show you still.
Hope you like them.
If any one knows there name please post it for me :)
Also, i took the pictures before i cleaned the glass, so sorry for the small dirt on it and i couldnt remove the flash either :huh:

I have definitely seen that fish before but its name is not coming to me. Nice fish anyhow. What size tank are they in?

Looks like a Geophagus to me. Maybe Geophagus sp. "Altamira...
It also favors a Threadfin Acara (Acarichthys heckelii), but in the pictures I find, the fish aren't as irridescent looking on the fins, like your fish are.
If it is any type of Geophagus, its going to get pretty big. Most of them get atleast 6-8 inches I believe, and anything 8+ inches is going to be too large for your 46g (if thats the tank they are in) IMO.

Yours have a darker and longer line through the eyes, but it could be from stress maybe. Thats my guess anyhow. :)

a Rio 180 (46 gallons)
i was told they will get big but will take time, also the LFS i got them from will take them back when they too big and allow me to have different fish of same value

Thanks, i remembered they are a type of ciclid yet they are very friendly to fish so long as they dont fit in their mouth ;)
