RO water/water changes

I am finally getting an RO system hooked up in about 2 weeks. When I start my water changes with the "new" water, should I mix it with the water that the fishies are used to? Is it possible they can be "shocked" or stressed when I start doing my significant water changes with the RO water, or should it be okay?

What i would suggest is when you mix new saltwater you mix it in a rubber maid container ( using RO water of course ) and then put in a powerhead and heater, then after 48 hours i check pH, temp and salinity before putting in tank..This will not stress out the fish at all...

Topoff - i just put in fresh top off water from my ro unit..

Thanks again. That's how I was planning on doing it because I'll need to heat the water up to about 78 anyway. So I guess I can just put the RO water in with no problems after using the other water all of this time?
