Fishless Cycling with Ammonia

I would like to start cycling a 10 gallon tank that I have setup and I would like to do the cycle without fish. I've read the sticky on fishless cycling and have purchased a large bottle of Ammonia. I don't know if the ammonia I have is correct I was hoping someone could tell me. The ingredients are purified water, Ammonia, and a Chelating Agent. I don't know if the last ingredient in there is safe for a fishless cycle. Also, i'm not sure where to begin with the amount to add. My ammonia test kit measures in PPM so I would guess it would have to be a small amount but I don't want to go too small and have to test a hundred times. Can someone give me a rough estimate?

if it has a cleaning agent, i wouldnt add it to the tank. does it have an added scent in it?

you should be able to buy prue ammoina, but you might just want to try some fish food. it workd just as well and you know that the ammoina that is coming out of it is the right stuff.

I didn't make a type-o, it's called a "Chelating" agent. I googled it and it seems to be some kind of Ionic binder or whateverer.... Otherwise it is clear and without scent added. But the chelating agent makes me wonder.

does it say pure or 100% ammonia? if it doesnt have one of them i wouldnt use it.

On the front it says "Clear Ammonia" I checked on the cycling page for marine fish awhile ago and it lists clear ammonia as one of the good ones to use. I'm going to go ahead with it unless someone knows for sure that I shouldn't. I'll check the postings again in the morning and see if I get a more definate answer.

It's the Walmart "Great Value" brand. 69 cents a gallon! :) Ingredients again are softened water, ammonia, and chelating agent <-- Not a typo.

searched on google and seems to be 100% ammonia.
