View Full Version : HELP!!! What is killing my fish?

I have lost 6 Fish in the last two days and they all looked like this:
I have not seen any agressive acts by the other fish so I am not sure if it is another fish doing this. Any ideas?

what size is the tank?
what other fish are in the tank?

200 Gallon tank and the only thing I have is a dozen of these Shiners. I have been cycling the tank for about a month and added the Shiners about 10 days ago. I am planning on adding two 8" Largemouth Bass in this evening.
Might the other fish be scavenging after they are dead, and the obvious damage not have anything to do with cause of death?
That would be my guess.
you should wait till you can let make those guys live, what would the point be of putting bigger fish in a tank that's not sustaining life?
Also what are you parameters? ammonia, nitrites, nitrates ect. Water temp and ph might be useful too.
