Nitrite Levels...

hi. What is a safe nitrite level? Mine is about 2 ppm. Is that okay?

Nitrite should always be 0 unless you are cycling a tank. How long has it been set up?

SORRRRRRRY!!!! I meant nitrate. LOL. My Nitrate level is at 2 ppm. Is that okay. BTW, my tank has been set up for 3 months. I have 0 Nitrite.

i believe nitrite should be at about 10ppm

no not at all. you should have at least some nitrates in your tank, but i dont let mine go over 12.

ya if it gets higher than 15 ppm on NO2 then you need to do a water change.

Nitrate should be safe even at 20 but I try to keep it below 10.
