Hey guys! Ok, i sold all my cichlids recently and my HUGE Catfish ( 20 in. Red Tail) and I am now venturing into the world of Discus and plants. ^^ I presently have a few community fish like Neon tetras, Rasboras, Angels and 2 Discus with more on the way. The discus are about 2 inches so they have plenty of room. I own a 55gallon tank with the stock lighting that comes with the set-up (full hood). So, I also have a beautiful peice of driftwood in there and some noice plants that are suprisingly growing quite nicely but I am very limited to what I CAN grow and how much of it.
Anyways, my point beeing I am just starting to do my own DIY CO2 with 3 2liter bottles and a Power Reactor from plantguild.com and need better lighting. Algae control shouldn't be tough since i have 2 bushynose plecos, and will soon order some Amano shrimp (maybe 3) and perhaps some SAE (2 or 3).
I am looking to buy proper lighting for the 55 gallon (which might later on be advanced to a 75 but thats a different story) I was probably looking at a 2x65 which should be sufficient, I think ><. But am looking to spend hopefully under $100. Can anybody help me out?? I live in NYC BTW.
