if you want small fish that are very colourful go for some Guppies (they're really awesome) but if you want more schooling fish get some tetras (but make sure to get atleast 5 for them to be in a school)

Hmmm Irving... I think carrolton is close to there and they have a very nice shop, check the yellow pages. For a 10 gallon I would also recommend guppies or neon tetras. I'd put 5 neon tetras and 3 small corydora cats. (pygmy, panda, or albino)

Tetras and corys are schoolers so you should have at least 3 of each. One great piece of advice is to research ANY fish before you buy it. Local Fish Stores will often sell you fish too big for your tank, or too many fish for your tank.

The less fish you have, the less they are apt to die.

Also worth noting for a 10g is a male betta and a trio of small cories. Check out www.liveaquaria.com and look through their fish, they list minimum tank sizes.
