Pictures tomorrow I hope. I have 4 peacocks in my tank. At the store they look a lot different than they do in my tank. I THOUGHT I landed 3 females and 1 male. 3 being dull, almost colorless, one being a beautiful blue/yellow with irridescent scales in places. Now I have 1 fish that is a darker yellow, one that is a darker blue, and one that was light blue but is now a lighter version of the blue/yellow I mentioned earlier. No aggression to mention. Wondering if I do have the 1M:3F ratio or is I have landed 4 females.
Help sexing Peacocks.

Usually female peacocks aren't very coloful at all. Its hard to tell though by your description. Pictures will really help.

In most LFS peacocks they use hormones in the fish to show a really bright brilliant color. Then when you bring them home they lose their color. This might have happend and screwed the colors up in the fish. Like the previouse person said, the females should be brown and have no real color in them, while the male will have the colors.

I still can't tell with some of mine, since they haven't colored up much at all yet (some are still 1.5"), but maybe it will help you.
