Migrating to Freshwater from Saltwater

hello! I was thinking of converting my Saltwater setup to fresh water. I currently have a sump tank with a UV filter and skimmer. Will I still be able to use these items?
 
I believe that you can use a sump in a freshwater set up if you want to. A UV filter depends on the kind of freshwater tank you want to create and the use of a skimmer is completely not necessary in a freshwater aquarium. In fact, the skimmer will not operate correctly without salt in the water.

Thanks for the immediate reply. With regards to the sump, will it require re channeling/ re-designing?
 
I am not that up on sumps so I cannot really help you there. I would assume that some things will need to be changed out or possibly switched around just because it did have marine salt going through it at one time. Hopefully someone will be along to help you further.
