Will my apple snails continue being happy if I added a layer of sand to the bottom of my aquarium? I have a little "dish" that I feed them spinach with, it is located on the bottom of the aquarium,will it hinder their ability to eat off of the bottom? Thanks

They will be fine. Sharp edges are more of a problem then smooth sand. Is their gravel in there now??? If so, donot add sand ontop. Sand can compact and create anerobic gas pockets in the gravel quite quickly...Very deadly.
